I created this mobile App; I am a Registered Nurse with a BSN degree from Regis University. I have over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. I had multiple pre-requisite courses to complete and started highlighting in my notebook each time I completed a course until the entire book was yellow. This is not it, there has to be a better way, I thought!
During my practice as a Registered Nurse, I saw how much student nurses struggled to stay in the A-game where exams (e.g., anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology) and clinical projects were concerned. I wanted to make nursing students’ lives easier by creating quick access to materials and resources at the touch of a button on their smartphones. So, I created this app.
The Pre-RN Check Off app is tailored specifically for aspiring Pre-Nursing and Nursing Students who want to get ahead. Whether you are just starting out or looking to advance your skills, the Pre-RN Check Off app has most of the things you need concerning organization, keeping track of immunizations, pre-requisite courses, upcoming quizzes/exams, nursing notes, hesi and teas sample questions, scholarship applications, and ChatGPT incorporated into the app.

Instructions for Use
Our app provides step-by-step instructions to help you get started on your journey to becoming a nurse. Once you have chosen your preferred school, if you don't already have one, you can proceed to confirm the completion of any necessary prerequisites, select your nursing specialization category within the app, and carry out other relevant actions.
Step 1: Decide on a nursing school if you haven’t done so.
Step 2: Next, check the nursing board website in your state to ensure that the school is legitimate and accredited. Time and money spent on classes that don't count toward your degree are a waste.
There are currently three routes to becoming an RN:
1) Licensed Vocational Nurse to Registered Nurse.
2) Associate degree in nursing to Registered Nurse.
3) Bachelor of Science in Nursing to Registered Nurse.
Step 4: The Pre-Nursing Check Off list can be used to verify the completion of prerequisites. Courses that are typically taken by nursing students before they are allowed to begin their careers are provided. If the course is not listed for your school, you can simply add it.
Besides studying your coursework, the following sections of the app can help you along your nursing career path:
1. A Forum for Nurses (Join the forum to connect with your peers to discuss Pre-Nursing courses)
2. Examination for Admission to the Nursing Profession (Hesi, Teas, etc.)
3. Preventative Medicine (Measles, TDAP, etc.)
4. ChatGPT Turbo 3.5 (AI Chat) is an excellent resource for basic information that nursing students can utilize. Only Apple phones are currently supported.
5. Assistance in the Form of Scholarships (apply for nursing scholarships)
6. Impactful Conversation (Chat with your friends or peers)
7. Personal "Lecture Notes" Database (e.g., Anatomy, Physiology)
8. Your Own Calendar (mark due dates and plan for exams).
